Models

The development of the TLfS program will be extended during 2009 through the monitoring and evaluation of four specific delivery Models.  These Models include the following:

  • BGK Model - to be conducted with schools and community groups in the Bayside, Glen Eira and Kingston area of Melbourne.  This Model will focus on partnerships between schools and local employment networks and businesses in an urban area to see if there is anything unique in this urban setting.
  • Wimmera Model - to be conducted with schools and community groups in the Wimmera region in south-west Victoria.  This Model will focus on partnerships between schools, local employment networks and local community groups in a rural area to see if there is anything unique in this rural setting.
  • Port Phillip Model - to be conducted with schools and community groups in the City of Port Phillip in south-east of Melbourne.  This Model will focus on the efforts of a TLfS Facilitator to monitor and evaluate the kind of support needed from TLfS Management to maximise the success of the program.
  • Open Model - to be conducted in schools spread across Victoria – including both urban and rural schools.  This Model will be centred around a “virtual” Community of Practice Group - to monitor and evaluate the kind of support needed from TLfS Management to maximise the success of the program in each school.
The goal of these combined models is to understand and then develop the TLfS Communities of Practise.  By working with a variety of groups in these different regions, including students, teachers, parents, business people, community and government representatives, we will work out synergies of purpose and then develop formats of delivery to accommodate a range of different scenarios.  The end result will be a comprehensive Communities of Practice Manual that we will make available on this website to Members of our TLfS program.  For more information about this aspect of the program please fill in the form on our Contacts page accordingly.
